Hi! My name is Tan Chuan-Yean and I come from the little island of Singapore. Photography is my hobby and I started out using the Minolta 505SI SLR a couple of years back in 1999.

My first digital camera was the Canon IXUS V2, which I bought in Jan 03. My second camera was the FZ10, which I bought in Aug 2004. I got the Canon A610 in Mar 06. The A610 is not so compact as the IXUS, but has lots of features! I now have an underwater casing for it too! Now I have a second hand FZ30 since Nov 2007.

The pictures in this gallery were taken by the above cameras. The macros have been mostly taken by the Panasonic FZ30, FZ10 and A610. The A610 is coupled with a reverse lens and the FZ10/30 with close up lens. For different situations I use different setups, though nowadays, I mainly use the FZ30.

In particular, I like macro and scenic shots. Macro photos give you a new view of things. Even the simple fly, when magnified looks very beautiful and shows how even a simple insect is wonderfully designed and created by the Almighty God! I also like scenic shots which shows the beauty in the natural world.
